Oakes and College Eight come together for Unity BBQ

The party begins at the Oakes/College Eight 4th annual Unity BBQ!

Good food, good weather, and good company... students build bonds of friendship that will last throughout their time at UC Santa Cruz and beyond.

To kick off the new academic year and get to know the students at their neighboring college, the communities of College Eight and Oakes College get together for the Unity BBQ. This yearly event invites the residents of both colleges to share a meal and join in various activities to strengthen bonds between the two colleges. This year saw an attendance of nearly 400 students! Kudos to the Dining staff for their fine service!
